Color Hotel Style & Design

I recently returned from a trip to Bardolino and the Lake Garda area and we stayed at The Color Hotel. In a single word of description, I would say LOVELY is a great description. The grounds were immaculate and generous for a hotel of its size, the rooms and common areas were spotless and very updated and nicely appointed. The complimentary breakfast was first class in every way complete with a chef to prepare fresh cooked eggs to order to go with an endless array of pastries, cheeses, meats, fruits and all other manner of delicacies. The most impressive item in the entire place was the service provided by the staff of the hotel. In particular, Gloria and Claudia were outstanding in answering every need and acting as concierge, computer expert, customer service agent, and overall new friend to my entire party. I would stay at Color Hotel again in a second and would recommend it to anyone who is going to this beautiful area of the world!

We stayed here for 8 days last summer along with our dog Luca. Hotel is highly recommended almost in every way. Very nice rooms, very nice pools, very good location, very friendly staff, very good breakfast. Highly recommended, therefore we have booked again for summer 2023. A point of attention: upon arrival we noticed that the regulations regarding pets had recently been changed. We were only allowed to take our dog to the smallest pool of the 3. This meant that we could not use the 2 large pools and moreover the loungers at the small pool were most of the time occupied. A hint could be to provide a small (reserved) place at the large pool (the one in the backyard) where the dog is welcome on a leash. Other guests would not be bothered and the owners would have the opportunity to enjoy the large swimming pool.

Beware!! Very disappointed. My family and I have stayed on many occasions. I would have considered myself a loyal customer of the hotel. I recently booked a trip which unfortunately had to be cancelled giving the hotel 2 weeks notice. The color hotel have charged me a 20% cancellation fee as I had booked through a third party. I requested that the color hotel consider holding the fee as a deposit for my next visit. They have refused to do this. The hotel claim they are following the rules of the booking agency. However the agency mostly don't have cancellation fees for their hotels and say it is the Color Hotels policy to take a cancellation fee when booked through a third party. Be very careful when booking.
